Don't Take No For An Answer

Posted November 13, 2019
We frequently see patients who have been told that there is "no cure" or nothing that can be done about their chronic leg pain, which is often dramatically affecting their daily life. Don't take "no" for an answer, schedule a visit at one of our convenient locations throughout Central Maryland and get screened for vascular disease. Beyond getting you back to living your life, it could be life saving! Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) affects over 8 million people in the U.S. according to statistics compiled in 2023 by the CDC. And this number is continually rising... At the Center for Vascular Medicine, our physicians have focused their care on treating vascular disease that occurs outside of the heart, affecting the pelvic region and the extremities. Advances in technology have enabled us to provide accurate diagnosis and care using non invasive and minimally invasive procedures that can restore better health through improved circulation.

Do You Suffer With:

  • Leg pain
  • Poor mobility
  • Pale skin or reduced color on one or both legs or feet
  • Non healing wounds on legs or feet
It is important to note that many patients experience NO symptoms, but are considered in the high risk category for PAD due to other health concerns or lifestyle habits. These can include obesity, diabetes, smoking or tobacco use, high cholesterol and genetics. The risk for PAD also increases after the age of 40. If you have been experiencing any of the symptoms above or have been told that there is no hope for debilitating leg pain, get screened for PAD and find out of treatment for peripheral artery blockages can restore your health- and reduce associated risks such as stroke and heart attack. At the Center for Vascular Medicine, we understand PAD and offer the personalized treatment you may need to address this often undiagnosed vascular disease. Need a little inspiration?
