Dr. Satwah Speaks at OES Symposium

Posted November 13, 2019
Dr. Vinay Satwah of the Center for Vascular Medicine was a speaker at the recent Outpatient Endovascular and Interventional Society (OES) symposium. Discussing the interventional nature of pelvic pain treatment through vascular techniques, Dr. Satwah highlighted the importance of these deep vein intervention procedures in reducing the risk of complications that carry a larger burden for both healthcare costs and patient care. Dr. Satwah is a Charter Member of OES, an organization focused on improving patient care and vascular disease management to reduce limb loss. The Center for Vascular Medicine offers diagnosis and treatment for several types of vascular diseases, including Peripheral Artery Disease (PAD) and Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT). At convenient locations throughout Maryland, the physicians and staff of Center for Vascular Medicine seek to provide patients with non and minimally invasive diagnosis and treatment options to address vascular disease. Treating pelvic pain and associated symptoms is often life altering for many patients. It can also be life saving, restoring physical health and allowing those who have been suffering to resume a normal daily routine. In a comfortable, outpatient setting, patients receive a high standard of care and treatment that can often prevent future hospitalizations due to complications from untreated vascular disease occurring outside of the heart. Often under diagnosed because symptoms can be confused with other types of health concerns, this type of vascular disease can significantly raise the risk of limb loss or premature death. Early intervention offers the best prognosis for a full recovery and organizations such as OES seek to educate both institutional and general populations on the risk factors and deep vein intervention procedures that can prevent loss of life and limb.

Common Symptoms of PAD and Upper Limb PAD
