PAD is a dangerous health condition that can lead to heart attacks, strokes, or even death. It is important to know the signs of PAD so you may seek early treatment. What is PAD?
PERIPHERAL ARTERY DISEASE is a common circulatory problem. Arteries that carry blood to the legs do not function fully due to becoming clogged by plaque. Over time the plaque build-up hardens and can cause blockages in the arteries.
Symptoms of PAD
- Fatigue, heaviness, tiredness and/or cramping in the legs
- Leg Pain
- Non-Healing Wounds on the legs
- Changes in the color of the skin near the feet or legs
- Differences in Temperature between legs
- Poor Nail and/or Hair Growth on the fingers or toes
