Theresa M. Soto
MD, FACS, RPVI

Dr. Soto has been in practice for over 20 years and leads the Fredericksburg location at Center for Vascular Medicine. Dr. Soto was awarded a Health Professions Scholarship from the US Armed Forces and went to SUNY Buffalo Medical school where she graduated with honors. She completed her training at several institutions including The Buffalo Children’s Hospital, Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Buffalo General Hospital and Millard Fillmore Hospital. At the culmination of her training, as Chief Resident of the program, Dr. Soto was awarded the Te Linde Surgical Award for excellence in gynecological surgery. After completing residency, she served in the United States Air Force, where as Chief of Gyn Services for the 7th Medical Group, Dyess AFB, TX she received her marksman ribbon (small arms) and an Air Force Commendation Medal. She resigned her commission as a Major and moved to Virginia to be closer to family. In her free time, Dr. Soto enjoys playing violin and reading.
